I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, and have always had a love for the water. Since a young age I have had a keen interest in marine wildlife – birds, mammals, crustaceans, and especially FISH! My love for fishing really took off about the age of 10 when my buddies and I would walk the banks of the Wando River trying to catch anything that swam. As my passion for fishing progressed, my parents purchased a small 12ft Alumnicraft Jon Boat and the rest is history. I learned to locate and catch redfish, speckled tout, sheepshead, flounder, sharks and tarpon on a regular basis. The older I got, the more I wanted to learn about the amazing ecosystem that Charleston offers. I received a Division I athletic scholarship to play soccer at Wofford College, but every summer the water called me back home to Charleston. After receiving a B.S. in Biology from Wofford College, I knew veterinary school was in my future. I completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, and I am currently a Veterinarian Associate at Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital. Though I am a veterinarian, there is not much to keep me away from fishing. Charters with me will be full of marine wildlife knowledge, laughs, and plenty of fish.
